EXPERIENCE


Sole Practitioner emphasizing criminal trial and criminal appellate litigation.  Co-counseled defendants under the CJA Program in Capital Murder cases. Represented individuals and corporations in major federal and state white collar investigations, prosecutions, forfeitures and appeals. Handled all types of criminal litigation from DUI to first degree murder, federal drug conspiracy, bank fraud, securities fraud, and money laundering. Represented civil litigants in federal civil and administrative forfeiture cases, proceedings before the Securities and Exchange Commission, quiet title litigation, specific performance of real estate contracts litigation, dissolution of marriage litigation, and administrative licensing proceedings. 

Served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Middle Districts of Florida, Puerto Rico and Colorado.  Hired under the Attorney General's Honor Law Graduate Program as Trial Attorney in Washington, D.C.; assigned to Office of International Affairs and Appellate Section.


As an Assistant United States Attorney, assigned  to Civil Division (Florida and Puerto Rico), handled all aspects of federal civil litigation.  As Assistant U.S. Attorney assigned to  Criminal Division (Florida, Puerto Rico, Colorado), prosecuted violations of federal criminal code, supervised investigations of federal law enforcement agencies, conducted Grand Jury proceedings, represented the United States Government at trial, and briefed and argued numerous appeals.  As federal prosecutor investigated and prosecuted all areas of federal criminal code, including fraud, major white collar crimes, money laundering, public corruption, organized crime, murder, narcotics and terrorism.  As civil litigator, handled varied case load of Federal Tort Claims Act matters including medical malpractice and slip and fall cases at federal facilities. Also worked in Office of International Affairs, U.S. Department of Justice, Criminal Division, Washington, D.C., assisting in preparation of extradition requests and requests for foreign judicial assistance.
